The Oklahoma Autism Network, sponsored by the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, is devoted to improving the well-being of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their families throughout the state. The OAN website is an excellent source of scientific and practical information for parents, educators, and community members. The network is funded by the Oklahoma State Dept. of Education and by the Oklahoma Dept. of Human Services.

This website provides information on the symptoms of autism, screening and diagnosis, and reputable treatments. It also reports data and statistics about autism spectrum disorders and links to scientific articles.

First Signs “aims to educate parents, health care providers, early childhood educators, and other professionals to ensure the best developmental outcome for every child.” Their website shares information about child development, screening, and referral. It also offers guidance on books addressing autism.
- Autism Society
The Autism Society, founded by parents of children with autism, offers information about the causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatments for autism spectrum disorders. This website makes available resource materials about living with autism and also about Asperger Disorder. The Autism Society also produces a free electronic newsletter with information about advocacy, research, conferences, and resources.
